Our Matcha Blends
We conceived 3 MMU blends with very distinct flavor profiles. They are each made of several tea varieties, blended according to our (secret) ratios.
MMU01: A sharp blend of Okumidori, Zairai, Samidori and Yabukita.
MMU02: A smooth blend of Samidori and Okumidori.
MMU03: A full bodied blend of Samidori and Gokou.

MMU01
A sharp blend of Okumidori, Zairai, Samidori and Yabukita.
Sharpness is what characterizes MMU01 immediately, an intense blend of green tea varieties: we complemented native Uji “Zairai” leaves and the balanced Yabukita variety, with the confidence of Okumidori and the class of Samidori, one of Uji’s native and most exclusive variety used for “shaded” tea.
Flavor: Sharp, Wild, Intense
Texture: Soft
Umami: Round Umami
MMU02
A smooth blend of Samidori and Okumidori.
When conceiving MMU02 we chose to go in the direction of extreme smoothness and balance: Okumidori’s roundness and moderation had to perfectly complement the depth and flamboyance of “shaded” tea favorite, Uji’s very own Samidori variety. The result is a fruity, smooth and all round balanced blend.
Flavor: Fruity, Balanced, Round

Umami: Sweet Umami
MMU02
A smooth blend of Samidori and Okumidori.

MMU03
A full bodied blend of Samidori and Gokou.
The MMU03 blend was crafted as a total art piece: we crafted a combination of two of the most exclusive “shaded” tea species, both historically originating entirely from the Uji terroir. Full and velvety is what best describes the Gokou variety, however it is further enhanced by Samidori’s depth to realize a full bodied, complex, refined blend.
Flavor: Full-bodied, Powerful, Smooth
